Inside Ericsson’s learning journey: Building future-ready teams

From learning to impact

As technology and business needs continue to evolve, Ericsson remains focused on developing its most important asset: its people. The company’s commitment to continuous learning is central to staying ahead in the age of AI and digital transformation.

Recently numerous Ericsson leaders joined the AI for Business Leaders program, developed by MIT Sloan Executive Education in collaboration with Collegial. The program is designed for business leaders and AI ambassadors to help them understand and apply artificial intelligence in strategic, responsible, and value-driven ways.

Through a mix of peer learning, expert-led webinars, and hands-on case discussions, participants examined how AI can foster innovation, optimize operations, and strengthen data-driven decision-making within the organization.

For Ericsson, taking part in this program reflects a broader vision: ensuring leaders understand emerging technologies and translate them into meaningful business impact.

When learning is grounded in real business challenges and shared across organizations, its impact becomes visible quickly. In this program, participants worked with real-world case studies, practical use cases, and peer collaboration, combining business context, technical understanding, and governance perspectives. The result was not just insight, but confidence to act, influence decisions, and move initiatives forward inside their own organizations.

As participants shared:

“The best aspect of this program was case studies from the real market explained by the relevant company's senior management."

“Case studies, use cases presented and interactive sessions in team were the best aspect of the program.”

“Really good material, and a great balance between technical and business perspectives.”

“The collaboration with several companies and being able to learn together (the team meetings) were very good.”

“Some inputs from the governance and ethics chapters were very interesting and I believe will support how I look into the AI solutions being used.”

“I have already proposed some AI solutions in my organization which have been approved and will start implementation soon.”
